My Story
Hi, I’m Rick Lawson.
For more than 24 years, I’ve been involved in the contracting industry, helping homeowners solve problems, building relationships, and growing businesses through sales, service, and marketing.
Like many contractors, I’ve worn a lot of hats. I’ve knocked doors, met with homeowners at kitchen tables, managed projects, worked insurance claims, built referral relationships, and learned firsthand what it takes to earn trust in a competitive marketplace.
Over the years, I noticed something that frustrated me: many great contractors struggle to market themselves effectively. Not because they aren’t good at what they do, but because they’re too busy running jobs, managing crews, and serving customers to consistently create content, maintain a social media presence, and stay visible online.
That’s why I created Rick The Marketing Guy.
My mission is simple: help contractors and home service businesses build credibility, stay top-of-mind in their communities, and create more opportunities through effective marketing.
